Brushes at the Ready on a Crab Boat - Fishermens Terminal - Seattle WA

Boats must carry everything needed on board, including cleaning items.

:   :   :

At Fishermens Terminal in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle,

a crab boat deck boss has thought of the need to keep the deck clean, so a couple of large,

long-handled scrub brushes are kept close at hand to be used at a moments’ notice.

:   :   :

Again this week we’re visiting Fishermen’s Terminal.

I would like to be out there shooting today, but am home,

quiet and jumping now through a new health hurdle.

Pneumonia.

:   :   :

Please be patient with me,

as I may not be able to get around to visiting all of you this week on WTS #79.

I am putting my energies into getting well.

I love how you can take something as simple as brooms and turn it into a work of art. I do hope you are recovering well. 🙂

  • Kay says:

Pneumonia! Oh, no! Even if you feel you can, don’t push yourself to do anything! Notch back everything to “easy” and then notch it back a few more steps after that. Nothing’s more important than getting better. Rest. Eat well. Rest more. Sending healing prayers and thoughts your way.

  • Helene says:

Oh I hope you are seeing some better days…thinking and praying for you! I have a similar brush I use on the back deck…which reminds me that I haven’t given it a good scrub in about 2 years. I believe I’ll be attacking some moss this weekend…LOL

  • Jack says:

Pneumonia! That is no fun. I had it 25 years ago and thought I would shake my bones apart. It can’t be good combining back surgery with pneumonia. Get on the mend!
